searching
how many days have I stared deep into my coffee hoping the answers might have sank to the bottom and the next sip would make it all clear
not so young
her touches are still sure as she pushes back her children’s hair adjusts their clothes and hugs them close you’d never know the trembling inside unless you wait till she is still and see the ripples in her coffee
